A practical aquatic safety program for people aged 55+ years
Did you know 60 people aged 65 years+ drowned in Australia in 2018/19? This is an 18% increase from the previous year.
Life Saving Victoria is committed to keeping you and those around you safe this summer through the Open Water Grey Medallion program.
The program targets members of the public aged 55+ and encompasses many aspects of lifesaving, including survival techniques, RIP current awareness, aquatic exercise and basic emergency care including resuscitation.
These are all transferable skills that can be utilised on the beach, in a pool environment and in the broader community. Register now for intermediate and advanced programs beginning on February 14, 2020.
OWGM targets members of the public aged 55+ years, grandparents, retirees and anyone eager to learn new skills and meet great people.
